There are many serious issues facing Arizona and they require representatives that are committed to legislating on behalf of the People of Rural Arizona. Representatives that are not beholding to their large valley-based special interest donors.

Issue: Adequate Water Supply:

The lack of an Adequate Water Supply is a serious issue that demands the attention of the legislature. We must begin to address this problem immediately by employing any number of different means: We will need to employ Aquifer Recharging Technology; pass new legislation which would require that new building construction must employ proven conservation technologies;  incentivize home owner water conservation, and many of the other proven conservation options. I ask for your Vote so I can forward and support serious solutions to the problems facing our Verde River Basin, and in creating a safe yield.

Issue: Public Education:

The quality of education that our children and grandchildren receive is probably the single most important issue of our time. It affects us economically, as well as, socially. Companies are less likely to move to an area where the children of their employees will be enrolled in a bottom-feeding educational system. Moreover, companies realize that the pool of young adults that are graduating from poorly funded Arizona k-12 schools will not meet the needs of companies requiring educated & skilled employees. Graduates find themselves at a disadvantage when attempting to obtain meaningful work and or when applying to prominent universities.

In addition, the social costs are staggering. Each year our under-funded public educational system is graduating young adults unprepared for further education and/or the work force. Many of these millions of young adults will quickly become burdens on their communities.

Your Vote, will help me to ensure that the children of Arizona receive the same type of world-class education that those of us who went to school in the 40s-50s-60s and 70s received.

Issue: Improving Main Street Economy:

The state must foster an economic environment that is fair to all; owners, employees & consumers. We must transform Arizona into a place where businesses, employees & consumers can thrive. We must re-establish Arizona as a state known for its high quality workers, a state known as a great place to raise your family, and a state known for a great quality of life. It is important, that we reject the fringe divisive social issues and those that attempt to propagate them.

I propose that we reinvest in Public Education again, require our corporations to pay a livable wage, repair our roads, & protect & restore the natural beauty for which Arizona has been known. This will spur demand, increase the Main Street Economy, and once again make Arizona a very attractive destination for companies and their families.

Issue: Women's Rights:

There is a small, but well-connected segment of the state’s population that is committed to ending a Women’s Right to Choose, as well as, restricting and ending access to contraception. They will stop at nothing to get their way.  We must meet their commitment head-on; we must ONCE AGAIN BECOME VIGILANT. I support a women’s right to control the If, When & How she decides to start a family. A Vote for Frank Cuccia will put into the state legislature someone who will work to restore, & protect Women’s Reproductive Rights.

Issue: Open Spaces:

You would think that representatives from rural Arizona could easily embrace the concept of open spaces, and the concept of protecting our beloved “Rural Lifestyle”.     Unfortunately, this is not how things have played out. The root cause of which seems to be two-fold: one cause stems from the divisive partisan politics that has been demonstrated in the district for years, and the other is that often the republican candidates that run for office are in or beholding to the Real Estate Development Industry. This year is no exception; two of the four republican primary candidates have ties to the real estate development industry.

So, we can EITHER continue voting for candidates that have the RIGHT initial after their name or we can start voting for the candidate that actually values the same things you do. A Vote for Frank Cuccia is a Vote to protect our “Rural Lifestyle”.

Issue: The Right to Marry:

Just as there is with Women’s Reproductive Rights, there is a small, but well-connected segment of the state’s population that is committed to preventing people from marrying the partner they love. This is one of those socially divisive issues that drive a wedge between fellow citizens and make Arizona a less harmonious place to live. Moreover, it makes Arizona a less desirable spot for a prospective company to move their business and their employees. It is time for the silent majority to stand up and reject these discriminatory practices, including those that propagate them. A Vote for Frank Cuccia is a vote for ensuring the all people can marry the person that they love.

Issue: Immigration:

One of the pressing issues of our time. We have to realize that 20,000,000 plus people cannot be deported, and additionally for millions of these people America is the only country they know. We have to find a moral solution. This is mostly a federal issue, but I support a Pathway to Citizenship: That starts with securing our borders, and then each immigrant needs to get right with the law by paying their taxes and a penalty, learning English, and undergoing background checks before they can be eligible to earn citizenship. It requires every business and every worker to play by the same set of rules. A Vote for Frank Cuccia is a Vote to put his issue behind us.

Issue: Livable Wage:

First, in implementing any changes to wages we must make adjustments for our truly small businesses.

This is a justice issue, a moral issue & an economic issue.  America was built on the notion if a person worked hard, kept their nose clean they could reach the American Dream. We always knew that the system would work, only if, everyone had the opportunity to reach the American Dream.  And just like the time before the Great Depression, we have millions of families sitting down after a long week of work deciding what basic necessities they will have to do without this week.

Unfortunately, just like the early part of the 20th century the American Dream for most Americans is unreachable. Given, that the corporate class will not or cannot allow the working class to reap the benefits of their hard work, government must step in and create a minimum wage that is fair. A Vote for Frank Cuccia will allow me to work to create a minimum wage that will ensure that the American Dream is not just a Pipe Dream.
